Isn’t this time of year fabulous with nature’s blooms exploding all around us?! From the blue woodland carpets in April to the delicious pinks, purples and whites of the blossom trees and wisteria in early May, not forgetting the often unsung hero, Cow Parsley which is currently adorning our hedgerows in abundance with its delightful froth.
It’s a season of hope and renewal and these longer days with brighter weather are just joyous - even the odd rainy days which keep everything fresh and blooming!
Then there is the wonderful RHS Chelsea Flower Show to enjoy too with its incredible and inspirational show gardens. From the Water Saving and Flood Resistant gardens designed to tackle our everchanging environmental issues to those designed as calming spaces for reflection and healing (Grief Kind Garden and the Garden for Recovery), there is certainly something for everyone.
Listening to the garden designers being interviewed about how their creations were built you realise the monumental effort that goes into getting each one ready for the show. Having participated in Decorex in October, we can certainly appreciate the amount of planning that’s involved with these types of events although I’m sure it’s a lot more challenging when nature is involved and beyond your control.
In celebration of Chelsea, we are delighted to be in June’s issue of The English Home featuring our beautiful botanical fabric designs from the Garden Collection. These exquisite linens are perfect for bringing the outside in and have been developed from some of Juliette’s mixed media artwork, bringing a creative twist to a classic connection with nature.
