Nearly 40 pieces still on display at The Collection Cafe, Chesham Bois!
Following on from an extremely successful Bucks Open Studios event, I have been invited to continue exhibiting my work in the same wonderful location.
Come and see my 'In Flight' artwork with a coastal
theme for this wonderful Summer Collection
Exhibition at Obsidian Art.
I had a fantastic day at Bodenpress today with the lovely Helen Boden learning about solar printing. It was great to learn a new technique and I was really happy with how my coffee photo turned out, I could definitely see me wanting to use this technique again. I met some lovely people and everyone created some really successful work. Thanks Helen!

How can it be August already? It's official then, I really have been doing my creative 'stuff' for a year now and what a year it has been! 9 exhibitions, 4 fairs and 1 article later and I am loving every minute of it. I can't believe how much I have managed to fit in alongside my teaching and the two things really seem to compliment one another.

This month I was supposed to be exhibiting my 'in Flight' range at the Obsidian gallery 'Summer Collection' show in Stoke Mandeville until the end of August. However, due to the stock selling in the first couple of days of the exhibition and my studio currently being redecorated I have none of that range left! I think I may need to replace it with a different range........watch this space!

I am desperate for my studio to be finished so that I can get back in action. Apparently it should be done in a week so fingers crossed that this is the case and I can get organised before September when the madness of the lead up to the festive season begins.

I'm still sorting out boxes but I have managed to find a space for my new table and chairs and have just completed a fish artwork commission. My client has a black and white kitchen and asked me to make my a couple of Fish Shoal pieces in (you guessed it!) black and white for her kitchen wall. I have to confess I was a bit sceptical about how it would look as the blue in my usual range is so popular but now that I have finished the pieces I think they look really effective and my client is absolutely delighted which is obviously the most important thing!

I'm starting to organise myself now in my new studio space but the start of term and my teaching 3 days a week has meant a bit of a slow start! Still, this month I have managed to fit in a couple of commissions, 2 exhibition submissions, a meeting about using my designs for a book cover and some end papers, a competition entry and a visit to Kirty Allsopps Handmade Fair at Hampton Court Palace which is not too bad!
I met the lovely Charlotte Bezzant and saw her fabulous silver jewellery on display at the Fair and discovered all sorts of interesting things at some of the other stands. My head is buzzing with product ideas but I need to sort some admin things out before I launch into anything else.
