I have just finished my latest commission which is very exciting as I have been trying to work out how to put my canvas 'In Flight' piece in a frame without compromising the design and I think I've cracked it!

This piece measures 40cms x 50cms and uses a range of media including silk laps and raw silk and is backed with425g/m² Aquarell watercolour card. The smaller card pieces are on pins to give a 3D effect.

June/July

In June, I finally decided to put my work out there and hold an Open Studio for a fortnight in order to get some feedback.

I had a fantastic response and now have four commissions to work on which is great, I certainly have lots to think about and follow up. I will definitely be aiming to do the Bucks Open Studios next year but for now I am focusing on my Solo Exhibition at The Collection in Chesham Bois in October.
