December

Another busy month!

One of my Landscape pieces has been featured in the December issue of Workshop on the Web (see my Press page) which is very exciting and this range is also to be featured in an exhibition at the Obsidian Art Gallery, Bucks in January called '2014' which I am looking forward to.

I have had plenty of orders to keep me busy and am now trying to replenish my stock before the Christmas break. Most of my sales have been of the larger pieces which is great but I need more space to house them whilst they are being created!

I am very keen to pursue some textile printing techniques and start creating some jewellery too but I think I will have to schedule some time specifically for this as other things keep cropping up. I will just have to control those creative urges a little bit longer!

At the beginning of December, I attended the Best Made Local Designer/Maker Fair in Stony Stratford and not only did I get some great response to my work but I also met some lovely like minded people to share my creative enthusiasm with which was a real bonus. Beautiful work from Caroline Kirton, Sarah Kelleher, Katiekid and Cathy Timbrell was on display and enjoyed by all the visitors along with my work too I hope!

November

I have been busy making Christmas orders and one of my clients has asked for a version of my Landscape piece with knitted wire. I couldn't decide which sky to do so I have done one of each and will let him choose!......

I have also had some Christmas orders for larger Landscapes and this is one I did which measures 50 x 50cms.

The blue grey watercolour sky is really popular. Not a great photo but the client was very happy with it.

I had a very successful day at the Amersham Artisans Designer/Makers Fair a couple of weeks go and it was good to have the opportunity to try out my stand design which I was very pleased with - just a few little tweaks needed to perfect it for my next Fair!

It was great to see both new and familiar faces and there was a steady flow of people wanting to check out the local creative talent!  I got a great reaction to my products, particularly the new Christmas decorations and my brooches which make great little Christmas tokens.
